“Track Ideas” vs. Fully-Produced Tracks
Our process is designed to give you flexibility and creative freedom while ensuring you leave with fully polished custom instrumentals you’re proud of. Here’s how it works:
- Track Ideas: These are rough drafts or conceptual instrumentals that serve as starting points for your project. They’re exploratory and designed to help us zero in on your unique sound.
- Fully Produced Tracks: Once we land on the right track ideas, we bring them to life with a full production, including arranging, mixing, layering, and perfecting every detail.
Here’s what you’ll receive with each package:
- Single: Up to 3 track ideas, 1 fully produced track.
- EP (4-8 Tracks): Up to 16 track ideas, up to 8 fully produced tracks.
- Album (9-12 Tracks): Up to 24 track ideas, up to 12 fully produced tracks.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want?
That’s completely fine! Many artists come to us with just a vibe or a rough idea. Our job is to help you refine and shape your vision into a fully realized sound that’s uniquely yours.

What rights do I get with a custom instrumental?
All custom beats come with exclusive rights, ensuring the track is yours and yours alone. This includes unlimited commercial use rights – perfect for releases, ads, or sync licensing. You can download a sample of our exclusive license here.

How are my files delivered?
Upon project completion, you will receive the following files for each instrumental via email:
Mastered 2-Track wav file (24-bit)
Unmastered 2-Track wav file (24-bit)
Mastered 2-Track mp3 file (320 kbps)
24-bit wav Trackouts (individual audio files that make up the track)
Can I send a reference track?
Of course – if you have inspirational reference points, these can be relatively helpful in sculpting the sonic profile of your track(s).
What is the turnaround time for a custom track?
1st draft: 3-5 days

What if I want more than 12 tracks for my album?
We can create a custom package for larger projects. Just let us know your needs, and we’ll make it work.

Do you use AI to create any music?
No. Every track we create is 100% human-made. We take pride in crafting original music that reflects your vision without relying on AI-generated elements.
What happens if I don’t like the final product?
Our goal is to make sure you’re completely satisfied. We work tirelessly until you’re thrilled with the outcome, and we’ll always collaborate with you to get it right. Worst-case-scenario, you’re allowed a 50% refund, in which case your usage rights for any track(s) would be revoked.
Who should I give production credit to?
Donovan Jarvis (e.g. ‘Produced by Donovan Jarvis obo Blue Road Music’).
How long do you store project files?
Unless you request otherwise, we store all project files in-house indefinitely. However, be sure to proactively store the physical and digital copies of the finished master files we send you in a safe and secure place.
EP/ALBUM-SPECIFIC FAQ
What does 9-12 tracks mean exactly?
All album projects are allowed up to 12 total “full tracks” and 24 total “track ideas”, from which your full tracks will be created from. Any unused tracks are discarded and/or repurposed (depending on copyright ownership context). In most cases, all 24 track ideas are not required as we hone in on the desired sound rather early.
Here’s a breakdown of how our flexibility works within the 9-12 track range, with practical scenarios to make it clear:
Scenario 1: You Know You Want a 12-Track Album
If your goal is a 12-track album, we’ll ensure you end up with 12 polished tracks you’re proud of. To achieve this, we might work through say 15 track ideas, refining and selecting the best ones. This process helps us hone your album’s sonic identity, and we’re excited to put in the extra effort to make it perfect.
Scenario 2: You Know You Want a 9-Track Album
Let’s say you’re aiming for 9 tracks and you’re vibing with the first 6, you’ll still have room to explore up to 6 more full tracks (and 18 track ideas). This ensures you have plenty of options to complete your vision without pressure.
Scenario 3: You’re Unsure How Many Tracks You Want
Many artists start the process without a specific track count in mind, and that’s completely okay. For example, if we create 12 fully produced tracks and you connect with 10 of them, you may decide to go with a 10-track album because it feels just right for your project. We’ll adapt as your vision becomes clearer during the process.
Scenario 4: You Want More Than 12 Tracks
If your vision expands beyond 12 tracks, that’s not a problem. We’re happy to work out a custom arrangement with you. Please reach out, and we’ll discuss your options to make it happen.
What if I don’t like all the tracks produced?
This service isn’t meant to be rigid or restrictive. It’s meant to open your sonic identity up to new possibilities and soundscapes. Audio experiences that either enhance, or evolve your current sound.
You’re allotted up to 24 track ideas for an album project (out of which, 9-12 are fully produced).
For example: A 12-track album – you could scrap up to 12 during the process at no extra cost. This ensures you’re left with a polished product you truly love.
Really though, if you have to scrap 12, we’re in the wrong business.
I don’t know how many tracks I want—what should I do?
No worries! Many artists start without a clear track count. We’ll work through the process with you, and by the end, you’ll have a better sense of what feels right for your album or EP.
